When Natural Selections was originally released through Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP) in 2017, no premium quality paper stock option was available to self-publishing authors. But times have changed—for the better.
KDP now offers a premium paper stock option. For authors and photographers publishing photo books, this is the best news ever. The premium quality stock allows photos to better "pop" off the page in both color and detail.
I'm excited to announce the 79 halfway decent amateur photos in Natural Selections have been refreshed to take advantage of this new print option. Natural Selections is once again available for purchase at Amazon.com. It makes a great gift for any occasion.

More About Natural Selections
Natural Selections is the culmination of more than four decades of ameteur photography. Actually, it’s the culmination of a lifetime of learning the hard way, honing skills, facing disappointment, remaining passionate, living intentionally, and every now and then, creating a memorable image.
Encouragement from friends spurred this project forward. Impassioned honesty drove the editing of several thousand images. The photographs featured in the book represent some of the author’s best work—so far.
A travel log of sorts, Natural Selections features color and black and white images from two-dozen locations throughout California. Descriptive, humorous, and at times twisted story content, along with the wit and photographic wisdom of several renowned photographers, including Ansel Adams, Dorothea Lange, and Edward Weston create an entertaining and informative experience.
As the journey unfolds, unexpected surprises keep readers engaged, laughing, and curious about what’s coming with the turn of the page.
